When Miller bought Meister Brau's labels in 1975, the recipe was reformulated and relaunched as "Lite Beer from Miller." It used masculine pro sports players and other macho types to sell to the key beer-drinking male demographic. Miller's approach worked where two previous light beers had failed, with production jumping from 12.8 million barrels to 24.2 million by 1977. In 1992, light beer became the biggest domestic beer in America. Miller Lite is known for its long-running "Great Taste...Less Filling!" advertising campaign, ranked by Advertising Age magazine as the 8th best in history.
This beer is an imported product from the USA, Company — Miller Brewing Co.
