A rich, deep garnet colour with purple hues. The nose is packed with ripe plum and red berry aromas with hints of spice and vanillin oak. The palate is full-bodied and fruit driven, with fruitcake and ripe plums balanced with subtle oak usage. The finish is smooth with lingering flavours enhanced by a trace of spice.
An excellent food wine. Try with lamb, char-grilled salmon/tuna, roast poultry, Italian cuisine (especially pasta with meat sauces), steak and kidney and soft cheeses.
