The Malbec is a dark ruby red. Aroma of redcurrants, raspberries, a hint of vanilla. Plenty of mouth-filling fruit - redcurrants, berry fruit, and stewed rhubarb. A pleasant acid balance, and good fine tannins. Rounded off by spicy complexities and a subtle touch of vanilla oak.
The Finca Las Moras vineyards are in the heart of San Juan in the Tulum Valley with the San Juan River creating the southern boarder. The Reserva and white wines come from medium-deep and loose-clay soils, and the red wines for the varietal range come from sandy and slightly clayish soils. Challenging soil types mean the vines need to struggle which results in intense and concentrated wines.
